Hi, welcome to Empowered Minds Therapy. I'm Femina Patel, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, I believe that the best way to empower individuals is through counseling. I enjoy working with clients of all ages from various backgrounds. However, I have specialized training in working with adolescents, teens, and families. I have worked within many community mental health agency settings and am familiar with the school system, IEPs, 504 plans, and resources for alternatives within the community. I am also certified in Adoptions Competency and love working with families facing post-adoption challenges. 

My goal is to help you uncover your true potential and lead a life that is worth celebrating. While we can't change difficult situations of the past, we can work together to better understand and resolve challenges in your life. By applying complementary therapy approaches and techniques, we will unearth long-standing behavior patterns or negative perceptions that may be holding you back from experiencing a more fulfilling and meaningful life.

I have much experience in helping individuals improve their mental health. I believe in creating a safe and supportive environment for my clients to share their thoughts and feelings so they can discover their strengths and learn the skills necessary to overcome their challenges. With my help, you can achieve the mental and emotional well-being you need to reach your goals and lead a happy and fulfilling life.
